Corrections and changes

What we have fixed or changed on toothlocal, newest first, and where each fix came from.

October 2026

4 Oct. Site-wide: Ratings for practices with few reviews: some pages showed an exact star rating from fewer than five reviews. They now show a floor, such as “4.5+ stars from 3 reviews”. (Source: Our own check.)

4 Oct. Site-wide: Phone numbers: for 25 practices, the number on the business listing does not appear on the practice's own website. Those pages now also show the number the website gives. (Source: Our check of the practices' websites.)

4 Oct. Site-wide: Neighbourhoods: practices now show their city's official area (Chicago community areas, Houston super neighborhoods) instead of broad labels such as “South Side”. (Source: City of Chicago and City of Houston boundary data.)

3 Oct. Site-wide: Sedation permits: one page said both of a practice's dentists held sedation permits when one held only a nitrous oxide permit. Pages now name the two kinds of permit separately. (Source: Our own check against Texas State Board of Dental Examiners records.)

3 Oct. Site-wide: Quotes about COVID-era rules were taken off practice pages because they no longer describe a visit today. (Source: Our own check.)
